Yesterday, a friend asked me how we can highlight the underdogs. Starting this week, I will highlight a local dog in a shelter searching for their forever home.

I was scrolling around this morning looking for our first highlight, and I found Callie on the first site. I continued to look. Guess who was among the top three dogs on the second site. Callie. I took this as my sign that Callie is our first highlight.

Who is Callie, Lunenburg VT-Riverside Rescue

Callie is a beautiful three-year-old pit mix who is white and deaf. She pulls on my heartstrings and reminds me of Lilah.

Callie is looking for a home with a fenced-in yard as an only pet. She is located at Riverside Rescue in Lunenburg, VT. Due to her special needs, her adoption includes an extended training program.

Somewhere out there is the person or family that can be Callie’s forever home.
